And it just so happens two of the actors already cast go back quite a long along way. Yup, real-life Anakin and real-life Ahsoka are old friends

Yeah, I still haven't gotten over that. The voice over thing was so watered down, and jam-packed with so many relatively unimportant Jedi, it made it all a waste of time.
I think the show's success will ride on whether it is an attempt to complete Ahsoka's journey, or a slave to tying into the sequels. If its purpose is to explain away the unexplainable nonsense of TROS, then we're in for a particularly bad time, and we might as well abandon hope.

Hopefully we get that Force Ghost Anakin, as well as flashbacks to the Clone Wars. I wonder how they would do it, though. Slightly deage Hayden and cast someone else as young Ahsoka? Or perhaps do a digital Ahsoka like that Togruta youngling in AotC. Either way, this show is my second most anticipated thing from Disney Star Wars after Obi's series. The prospect of seeing something like these images is very exciting.   |

I think it will tie into the Mandalorian's ongoing story, not the Sequels. In that case, I don't so much mind. It would be similar then to the Kenobi series, which from the trailers, would appear to be borrowing material from both the Rebels animated series and the Fallen Order video game.

It's a big challenge writing Anakin's character in anything post-ROTJ. It's one of those subjects that most need a Lucas consultation. I wouldn't envy the writers here.
Looks like they won't have to do that much de-ageing if this screenshot from promotional material in January is anything to go by.

Rebels will tie into this as well. At the end of Rebels Sabine and Ahsoka embark on a journey to locate Ezra Bridger. I assume that journey is going to be the story for this series. Along the way, Thrawn will make his return. He will probably be the main villain that all of the Mando-related characters will have to team up against in an Avengers-style event series.

One thing I have been pondering is: what kind of vibe will Force Ghost Anakin have? Will he have a Zen-like serenity and peace of mind because he is one with the Force? Will Ahsoka have some difficulty warming up to him/forgiving him for his past misdeeds? If so, will Anakin handle this patiently in the Zen-like manner I suggest above? Or, despite being one with The Force, will he have some contrition about him? I can't wait to see!
Furthermore, will Ahsoka try and get some intel out of him in regards to Thrawn? After all, Anakin and Thrawn are old Imperial colleagues!

That's the million dollar question. And I'm not sure there's a logical answer either. Anakin may well be the most complex character in the mythology.
If he survived, he'd almost certainly be stuck inside the jail cells of the New Republic, but a content, repentant prisoner at that. He would get visits from Luke and Ahsoka, though unlikely anyone else. I can imagine him testifying in a court of law and selling out everyone who worked with the Empire.
The thing about Force Ghosts is they have to be wise old sages. They're not supposed to be deeply flawed human beings, coming to terms with their past. They're meant to inspire, or rather, guide those they appear to. How does one even begin to change that dynamic? It's a mountain of a challenge. If Anakin had live some time as a non-Sith or Jedi after ROTJ, it would be much, much easier, you'd have some bits of a template. When looking for the stoic Anakin, we're missing the years he would have developed that more mature persona, all we have is the prequels and TCW (a guy in his early 20s).
I don't have any bones to pick with the new form of Force Ghost that was depicted in the sequels.If the prequels had done them, there'd have likely been some updates anyway. I doubt we'll be getting the traditional stiff ghosts of the OT.

Yeah, he's been doing a pretty bad job at denying that he's involved, smiling every time the question comes up 
I thought he had been ageing extremely well through his 30s, but I don't know, it seems like the pandemic hasn't been kind to him, seems like he's aged a good 5-6 years in just 2 years. So the clock really is ticking on him playing Anakin in any flashbacks to the Clone War era. As a Force Ghost post-ROTJ, however, I don't think there needs to be the same fixation with the age of the character, he can easily be the age of the actor. In Episodes V an VI, we already see a Obi-Wan looking physically older as a Force Ghost that how he was alive in IV, so we need not worry too much. Force Ghosts are all about how they are perceived by those they appear to - in the eye of the beholder.

As much as SWT talking about it puts it into the mainstream, I think we still need to be using big spoiler warnings at the beginning of our posts, not the end (please fix this Anthony )

I may sound negative and even hater but, even if it's just a what if scenario, LEAVE MUSTAFAR DUEL ALONE. Is an important moment in Revenge of the Sith that should stay here it belongs, this just looks like They are gonna steal it. Steal both the moment from the movie and from Obi Wan, if it has a better outcome maybe it will make Obi Wan looks bad. but the worst part is that is they using and toying with the moment ill make it be less special. |

The way some of this speculation is going, you do wonder if much at all will be in the present tense. It may be more of a 'what happened to Ahsoka after TCW' type of series. And if it that's what it is, I can't say I'll be be displeased. You have The Mandalorian and Bubba Fett taking up the post-OT era, does there need to be even more there?

Looks... Alright, I guess? Rosario Dawson is good in the role in my opinion. She's got a good presence. And I for one liked Rebels quite a bit, so I'm glad to see a continuation of it. Ahsoka may not be one of my favorite characters, but her master is, so here's hoping we'll see more of him.
