What ended up happening with the Lars estate? Luke took off with Obi-Wan and didn't seem to settle any matters. Did a nearby friend of the family take it over?

The state confiscated it for nature restoration.

If the state is involved, I'd think they'd turn it into a national heritage site, if they ever learned it was that young Luke boy who blew up the Death Star.

Everyone talks about how Chewie didn't receive a medal in ANH. But we need to start talking about how Luke saw and only mentioned Han and Leia being tortured in the city in the clouds...

The song Anakin skips on this album.
And actually, I think in their galaxy, this album is called Naboo And Tatooine.

I've been meaning to take a picture of an electrical box or whatever that I go past sometimes that has the line "Don't think, feel" spray painted on it. That's almost exactly my favorite line in the entire saga as spoken by Qui-Gon. It really changed my life.

So that's where that line is originally from? Didn't remember that. But Qui-Gon's rendition is the one that always meant the most to me.

But Qui-Gon's rendition is the one that always meant the most to me. Well, Bruce Lee's philosophy is very convergent with Lucas.' The convergence is probably the result of both men being influenced by Zen Buddhism (Krishnamurti is another mutual influence). But yes, Bruce Lee does instruct his student in Enter the Dragon to feel instead of think.

He adds a lot of spice to the proceedings, that is for certain. We must have gotten boarded by Imperials and had to (temporarily) dump all of the spice.

Seeker of the Whills have you heard of the novel or film Memory Of Water by Finnish author Emmi Itäranta? A friend of mine from Belarus was recommending it to me, and I was just curious.

I've heard of it, but it totally passed me by somehow. I think I saw the trailer in theaters, and I was very intrigued by it. There is some obvious Star Wars/Dune influence. Thanks for reminding me, I'm definitely watching that movie now.

I like to do improv, and it's sometimes surprising to me how little Star Wars comes up in the scenes I'm in and see. But the other day it came up twice, and I was in both scenes!
We were doing a montage, a long sequence of short scenes, and the theme given by the audience was Anger. About halfway through, there was a scene where somebody had decided to market an all-red Rubik's Cube, and then in the next scene someone decided to be Anakin Skywalker trying to solve it by turining the parts with the Force. But he was confused and was having difficulty figuring out the Rubik's Cube, furrowing his brow and showing exasperation.
From the side in a Yoda voice I said, "Give in to anger, you must not." and Anakin started getting more and more upset, but it seemed like the improviser couldn't decide what to do next, so I entered the scene saying, "Mace Windu enters holding an all-purple Rubik's Cube!" I then looked at Anakin and said, "Let me show you how a real Jedi Master does it!" I quickly turned a bunch of the parts and said, "That's how it's done, m****f****! Now take a seat young Skywalker!"
Then another improviser stepped on stage and changing the scene and in a Samuel L. Jackson voice said, "So I asked George Lucas if I could have a purple Rubik's Cube, because that would be cool, ya know." And I stepped back on and in a GL voice started to go into a spiel about how I agreed, saying, "Well, what Sammy wants, Sammy gets, heh heh..." But somebody else ended that scene right there. Man, I was really wanting to dig into that, but you gotta go with the flow. And that was actually good timing, tbh.
The next time it came up there was some scene going on that I was confused by, wasn't really sure what was happening, I don't think the improvisers knew either, haha. It was four people kind of chaotically and awkwardly fighting, punching etc. in a over exaggerated way, so I walked on stage with my back to the audience like I was watching the four fighting people on TV, and with an imaginary remote control in my hand I said, "Ahh, the new Star Wars show sucks!" and ended that scene.

This subway painting of an aquatic creature I saw in Sofia has a Naboo like quality. And while in Belgrade I stayed in a neighborhood called Tošin Bunar, which I thought was a good Star Wars character name. While at an improv festival in Sofia, we were playing a game called I'm A Tree. In this game, everyone stands in a circle, one person goes into the middle and says, "I'm a ____" and takes a pose of that thing. Then a 2nd person goes up to the 1st person and says, "I'm a ___", which should be directly related to the first thing, and strikes a pose and/or makes a motion, next to the 1st person. For example, if the 1st person was a tree, the 2nd person could be a bird, or a leaf, or an apple or something like that. Then, a 3rd person goes in and does the same thing, being a third thing connected to the first two. For example: (1)a tree (2)an apple (3)and a worm in the apple. Then after three people have gone, the first person who went in decides which of the 2nd or 3rd thing stays, and a new round starts. The person who stays repeats what they are. Well, we were playing that, and about halfway through there was something about a pregnant lady and the 3rd person went in and said, "I'm NOT the father." And he was chosen to stay. He then started the new round with, "I'm not the father." The 2nd person came in and said, "I'm Luke Skywalker." holding a lightsaber. And the third person came in and said, "I'm the Force." wiggling his fingers. The Force was chosen to stay and start a new round. So the Force guy repeated his thing, then a 2nd person went in and said, "I'm a Jedi.", then I went in between the Force and the Jedi and said, "I'm Midichlorians." A lot of people didn't know what that was but some did. Fortunately I was chosen to stay in, so I started the new round by repeating, "I'm Midichlorians." Then a nerdy girl came in with her hands on her hips and said, "I'm a very disappointed fan." Then a guy came in and said, "I'm Star Wars Episode I." I chose the disappointed fan to stay, and it spiraled into something about Game Of Thrones...
