“I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.”

I found this kind of interesting I do see connections between modern fandoms and the religion/mythology instinct.

Here's another video, by the same guy, that draws comparisons between SW canon and the New Testament. Actually pretty important, pertinent stuff, especially in light of recent news and conversations.

26-min video detailing the various changes to the prequels since their original theatrical releases (and AOTC was changed even then):
Enjoyable! Some very small and sneaky changes are documented which I didn't know about until now (e.g., shot of Theed Palace at night gaining an extension in its wide establishing shot: a bridge/skywalk).
The video is overwhelmingly TPM-centric. Seems that Lucas was pretty happy with AOTC and ROTS (despite a furious editing process on both -- i.e., both are children of an intensive digital workflow), but TPM had quite a lot of alterations made once it came to home video, including a beefed-up podrace -- and how I wish he'd have added everything back to the podrace! Star Wars cut material is the best.

www.youtube.com/user/turbo1975I stumbled across this YouTube channel recently. They've uploaded all of the "On Location" webisodes (hosted by Ahmed Best) which were posted by SW.com around the time of AOTC's production in 2000. They consist of Best interviewing various cast and crew of AOTC throughout the on-location shoots. I remember watching every single one of them as they were released way back when. I'd only managed to find one of them elsewhere in recent years so digging in was a potent hit of nostalgia, to say the least.
One of the videos features GL, who confidently states that he plans to direct more films after completing Episode III.
This one? Hilarious then, hilarious now.

I love how Alec Guinness as King Charles I dissolved Parliament like Palpatine dissolved the Senate. Guinness even throws in a palpatine-esque "So be it..." for good measure.
I kind of want to make a video; Star Wars: but the lines are by SW actors from other films.

A lot to comment back on here, but I'm sharing these for now...
In celebration of the 40th anniversary of TESB, and strangely in-sync with the passing of Jeremy Bulloch, the official Star Wars channel has just released two videos commemorating the first and much-beloved saga sequel. They feature some very cool never-before-seen behind-the-scenes footage, and in outstanding quality:

Rick Worley put up a new video recently - an interview with Paul Duncan, author of 'The Star Wars Archives' books from Taschen. In the video, Rick and Paul "talk about his books, his interviews with George Lucas, and more!"
The interview is focused on the PT 'Archives' book and is well worth the time (a rich hour and change)! Great nuggets of insight throughout!

Ha, this picture of me that I never knew existed was just posted by a friend of a friend. Representing my PT love in 2002 with the Episode I sticker on my guitar (which I put there in 1999). Wish I'd had room for an Episode II sticker...

Quite an interesting video from a film analyst I follow. He's often a little long-winded and this time he really outdid himself but its still a thought provoking piece on an otherwise vital and symbolic but overlooked character. (And it only focuses on ANH)

Thanks to jppiper for posting this in another thread. This interview from 1992 about the prequels is interesting: George Lucas about the prequels: "It's more people betraying people, you not knowing quite what's going on. You don't know who the good guys are and who the bad guys are." What do you think he meant by this? It could refer to Palpatine, but I also think it largely refers to the Attack of the Clones situation. I've seen some reaction videos where the viewers were confused as to who was good and who was bad in AotC. Lucas probably did this on purpose, and knew it all the way back in 1992. In AotC, the situation is greyer than in other SW films. You have the Separatists who want to leave the Republic being led by a former Jedi, and since the Republic has become so corrupt, their position isn't that unreasonable. Then you have the Jedi now in command of a faceless proto-stormtrooper army created by aliens who seem very "grey", and they invade Geonosis, starting the war. Of course the true villains are the Sith, but the Jedi did get corrupted by the war, according to Lucas.
