Yeah, I figured you did, but just wanted to make that clarification to avoid any confusion. I don't like being pulled into sides (in either area). It's obvious I have come down hard on Disney/LFL -- and the sequels themselves -- plenty of times. Yet I sometimes say more positive things about them, too. We do both have a good time with Episode 9. It ain't a boring movie, that's for sure. It's unusually rich, sharp, tangy, and refreshing. JJ managed to restore a lot of fizz to the trilogy in the last lap.

I do enjoy Reylo. I prefer kissing pretty girls as opposed to engaging in mortal combat with them. That's just me, I guess.

Well if she and I wind up rolling around on the ground sweating all over each other...I guess that's okay too.

The perfect package.

It's that guy's stock-in-trade. From the clickbait title down, StarWarsTheory is a fueller and profiteer of nerd outrage. He not only has a very one-sided, partisan take on the entire Sequel Trilogy and the machinations of Disney/Lucasfilm, but his videos are downright lazy.
Oh, come on, we had more than enough nerd outrage on this forum during the summer with the airing of Obi-Wan Kenobi. We can be much more angry here, albeit in the form of prose. SWT is nothing compared to one notorious blog, which goes all the way to the personal lives of Disney employees.
smittysgelato I don't seek out anti-Disney videos any more, by the way. This is one exception that cropped up, and its about the admission of mistakes. Personally, I think it's important that we all acknowledge our failings or poor decisions in the past, and commend others who do so. It's not always so simple owning up to one's faults.

I am glad to hear it because seeking out such videos sounds like a recipe for a miserable existence, haha. And to be fair I didn't even watch the video so I don't even know what kind of tone/attitude SWT was approaching the topic with within the video itself. I'm just so put off by the kind of videos available on Youtube in general so I just didn't even have the will to try it.

SWT is nothing compared to one notorious blog, which goes all the way to the personal lives of Disney employees. How does that change anything I said? Your disgruntled whataboutism is best cast aside. We're all nerds and we can all be outraged. This isn't news. The point I was making is that SWT is a virtue-signalling, rabble-rousing critic of the Sequel Trilogy. Despite his name being based around the concept of sharing Star Wars news and theories, he is far from impartial when it comes to Disney's handling of the franchise. Such is his right, of course, but it strikes a sour note. He very obviously uses his channel, at times, to gain attention and profit from the backlash to Disney and the ST. The blog you're again ranting about doesn't even exist anymore. SWT and his YouTube channel does. No, the article that SWT reads within the video might be about that, to some extent, but the video itself is just SWT reading from said article. He adds a few comments here and there, but the bulk of what is said by SWT -- or the "red meat" of the video as you previously characterised it -- is literally him narrating another person's work, and then failing to give a damn about the writer's name. I explained that in the very post you've quoted a mere snippet of. I don't see Disney/LFL owning up to many mistakes; and when they do, as in the example provided of Kathleen Kennedy blaming Alden Ehrenreich for the commercial failure of "Solo", it's often to the detriment of somebody else and a case of finding the wrong problem. I'm not sure what new level of insight you actually think the video provides.

I just rewatched the Prequels Strike Back. One of the guys they interviewed said something like: "I bet there is a kid out there who grew up on the Prequels that's gonna think the Sequels suck." I'd call this man a prophet, but let's face it, it isn't like a person requires divine knowledge to see that one coming. xD

Yeah I remember reading an article earlier this week that Disney is going to make less Marvel and Star Wars. Personally, I hope Ahsoka doesn't get the ax, but I imagine that is going to depend on how it performs. I could do without Season 2 of Obi-Wan, and I imagine we won't be getting more Boba Fett (which I think is underrated), but I am pretty sure Mando is safe.
I wonder if this means that James Mangold's Ten Commandments inspired Star Wars movie is dead too? I hope not, it was a cool idea. Given the fact he directed Indy 5, the chances aren't looking good.
I haven't kept up to date on it, but I imagine Andor S2 is well under way so it is probably safe too, and the second season was to be the last so it is in the green.

Maybe Disney needs to admit that consulting George is the missing ingredient.

Disney CEO after a few years of the films: "oh, we released too many movies, let's concentrate on our streaming service instead."
Disney CEO after a few years of Disney+: "oh, we released too many TV shows, let's scale back that too." (presumably) Disney CEO after a few year in the halt of films + TV shows: "oh, we didn't produce enough content, now what do we do?"
They don't know what to do. They're clueless.

Disney CEO now: we need to move away from "agenda-driven content"

Did Iger actually say that? If so, it sounds like an epic case of "just tell people what they wanna hear."
