Just more of diznee giving the people what they want, instead of what they need. What do they need?

In the PT, and a little in the OT, the characters are stuck in irreconcilable dilemmas, maneuvered into positions where they have to choose what they think is best, with their good intentions.
This should get people to think and ponder and reflect on this aspect of life. And hopefully come away with a larger lense with which to look at things, and empathize with the characters.
But, sadly, we've learned most people don't like this. And because they don't like reflecting, they instead call the movies dumb and bad. And say the good guys must be dumb and bad and deserve to die.
So what does diznee do? Give them what they want. Vader slaughtering Rebels and good guys doing too-on-the-nose bad things as a means to an end. I've only seen tfa and r1, so that's all I can speak to, but it felt like a watered down, blunter, easier to digest version of what Lucas gave us.
Maybe that's not a bad thing, I don't know, but do we continually need everything to be dumbed down?
And really it's just all about perspective. Instead of judging the films as bad, just switch your perspective to, "Maybe there's something to learn from this. Let me try to figure that out."

And then a friend posts this on fb today. This kind of illustrates what I'm tryna say. Not that life gets easy, but you develop the skills with which to more effectively deal with difficulties. And stories like in the Lucas SW saga, help as myths to guide us, and we hopefully use the lessons learned in them as examples. I feel diznee provides the quick and easy path, gives people the easy story beats. But they don't learn as deep a lesson. In fact, this image also pretty much illustrates Anakin's journey, until the end of RotJ. When he finally makes the hard decision.

That trailer looks far superior to the first one- will probably not care to watch it bar some YouTube clips considering Headlund’s comments and what not.
My guess is the Sith seen in the end is Plaguéis

LOL. Kids of today. They've all got COVID brain. I quite like his enthusiasm, though -- seems genuine. Dude has a freakishly mature-sounding voice for a person of his age, too.

Well everyone seems to be hating the Acolyte. What are everyone's thoughts? (Those who have bravely seen it that is)

Well everyone seems to be hating the Acolyte. What are everyone's thoughts? (Those who have bravely seen it that is) I've not seen it, so I can't comment much on the debacle. It looks moderately enjoyable, yet typically forgettable. The same old Disney stuff, basically. I mean, sure, it's Star Wars, kinda -- but that's not really good enough, is it?

Nice. To be honest, I think I should do it the justice of seeing it. Yeah, it's televisual Star Wars, the United Jedi Colors of Benetton 'n' all that jazz, but the premise at least seems half-way interesting and it's cool to see a bunch of young guns as Jedi -- another thing the Sequel Trilogy should have given us, but didn't.

I must admit: All the fan hate it's receiving (particularly on account of its latest episode) has me all the more intrigued. And I walked out of my TPM re-release screening last month before the preview played. We need a Naberrie Fields mine canary.

I'm not sure what's more bizarre: that product or the fact I had that word in my head, for some reason, all day, and couldn't think why, then I see your link.
