Anakin would probably be one of those biker teens if he'd had a normal life, lol.

Anakin would probably be one of those biker teens if he'd had a normal life, lol. That's EXACTLY what I was thinking! He liked fast racing vehicles and tinkering with droids. Maybe he would have made himself into a cyborg as well. That's a cool alternate timeline idea. Anakin as a cyborg biker who stayed on Tatooine. Episode three was very world-buildy. In addition, there was a lot of exposition upfront, so I can see why some would not like it. I love how dorky those speeder bikes are. They look like Kitchen Aid appliances haha. It was VERY WEIRD seeing colors that bright on Tatooine. I think of the gang as kids who live in a backwater town but want to be like big city people from Coruscant. That's why their aesthetic is different from the norm on Tatooine.

Though Boba has gotten a bit too soft for my liking. The dark side I sense in you. I just think the rancor petting made him look too kind. He is a changed man, but he's still supposed to be a crime lord now. I think they're taking him a bit too close to being an all out good guy.

I think they're taking him a bit too close to being an all out good guy. I rather appreciate the benevolent dictator approach. If he was a rotten bastard, it'd be a tiresome cliche and not true to the fundamentally moral nature of SW. The rancor petting may have been a bit out-of-place but I think it primarily served to set up what looks to be an exciting deception. Can someone familiar with Boba's characterization in TCW chime in with how what we're seeing in TBOBF squares with that earlier portrayal (or formation) of the infamous bounty hunter?

Now that you mention it, kid Boba was a bit apprehensive to go along with Aurra Sing, as I recall. He wasn't a hardened character at that point. So maybe this is that side of him coming back in Book of Boba Fett.

Guys... It's too much of a coincidence given the context and spirit of the latter half of the episode (The Book of Boba Fett, S01E05).

I even enjoyed that Ring Station because it reminds me of the colonies from the Gundam series.

It's likely inspired by the work of a certain futurist artist whose name I can't recall at the moment. A similar space station design was featured in two fairly recent sci-fi films, 2013's Elysium and 2014's Interstellar.

I wouldn't be surprised if the creators of Gundam got the idea from the same artist.

The oner or long-take on that station when Mando delivers the severed head and continues on to the lower levels was pretty impressive. I almost missed it it was so subtle.

I also love that detail about the parts for the N-1 being handmade, not the assembly-line homogeneity of the Empire.

It's the first time we get that much tributes to the Prequel Trilogy in post-Lucas live-action Star Wars. It's a great step forward !
Apart from that, the episode was very good, but the structure of the series is strange. It's like they decided to do The Mandalorian season 2,5 right in the middle of the story.

What an episode that was. It's hard to even find words to describe the feelings it gave. Too many awesome things for anything else but blatant gushing. It was maybe a bit fanservice-y, which is the style of Filoni.

For the most part, I've been enjoying this, and I'm harsh on Lucas-less SW. It feels respectful and original. It's clearly drawing from Lucas' ST. Boba's growth makes sense (this should really just be a TV show called Star Wars though). I have some gripes about the camerawork, pacing, some bit characters, fanservice (actually this one's not too bad, Cad Bane and that wookiee from the comics I don't read don't need to be recognized to fit into their scenes, as an example), dialogue not SW enough for my tastes, but I can accept it's just a modern TV thing, and it could stick out way more.
Thought the last episode handled Luke very well, character and effect-wise. I've been too closed-minded about Grogu too, I understand his purpose beyond merchandise now.
I'll have to check out Mando (after I finish Clone Wars, jeez).
The mechanic lady should have been Watto.
