Why are some US states inevitably salmon-colored on a map?
It's really been messing with me lately.

I've wondered that as well. I suppose it stands out well in distinction to a jumble of other colors. I also used to wonder if there was some connection between the states which shared colors. One thing's for sure, Alaska and Oregon should be salmon colored.
And I would love to have sat in on a Moonbeam Entertainment meeting where they discuss which movies they want to rip off. Even the locations aren't original, Remote looks like it was shot in that neighborhood E.T. And Poltergiest were filmed in.

One thing's for sure, Alaska and Oregon should be salmon colored. Your logic is not unsound, but salmon is never a color whose expanse should constitute an entire state. Not even a little state. It's just not one of those kinds of colors. Salmon is for kitchen tiles or ladies' pants. If I lived in a state fixed by Atlas with the color salmon, I'd move. Or propagate succession.
And I would love to have sat in on a Moonbeam Entertainment meeting where they discuss which movies they want to rip off. Even the locations aren't original, Remote looks like it was shot in that neighborhood E.T. And Poltergiest were filmed in. Lord. I can only imagine those who'd regularly populate such a conference. They'd probably look like extras from one of those episodes of NextGen where the Enterprise crew beams down to a planet society resembling an adobe-style health spa.
Either that or the whole studio was a front for laundering Mob money. Who knows. The early '90s was its own head-space.
In any event, that little girl's Bronx accent in Pet Shop is spot-on.

The VHS tapes from that company were a staple of my childhood. I remember renting entries from their Prehysteria! series repeatedly as a kind of surrogate Jurassic Park experience as my very uncool parents deemed the latter too violent for a 7-year-old. To my adult eyes, realizing how shamelessly Moonbeam knocked-off the success of others, those ads and my memories of those movies feel like the most oddly unsettling of '90s ephemera. Thanks for sharing?

I was picturing the producers as the Fat Tony type from The Simpsons, all sitting on one end of the table. While the writer and the director are the youth leader type who "really gets the kids" and has got some hot new ideas, and a hippy Burl Ives type, sitting on the other side of the table. So yes, we're on the same page.

I think we might be getting a tad cynical here, tagging children's entertainment with ulterior motives. I hereby initiate a reevaluation for this thread, followed by a course correction towards a more thoroughly positive and productive output. The process is what's called, in business management, a "turnaround".
Here, this video will explain everything:

Haha, I teach English at a company that runs oil refineries. I should show them this video to teach them some vocabulary. I hope they won't be too distracted.
By the way, I would love to have sat in on an EPCM-psi meeting where they decide what kind of hostess they want in thier videos.

Please tell me your curriculum doesn't entail worlds like "on" and "off" or "open valve" and "close valve". Or "no smoking".

Haha, well, keep in mind they are Czech students. And the class is for advanced general English, not really work related, but it can be. No, this isn't a class for Homer Simpson.

Is that Jena Malone?
I want that Jar Jar costume.
And I would've loved to have sat in on the recording session for this commercial as the director asked the narrator to say "on sale" more badass.
