Subtext MiningI remember someone in Star Wars Insider asking if Naboo became Dagobah

The people who say Naboo should be Alderaan are the same who say the Ewoks should be Wookiees. But they're not, for the same reasons.
Seeming insignificant.
If the TF set up a blockade around Alderaan, the Senate would have rushed to their aid. It's an important central planet with a lot of political clout. Naboo is a backwater planet with a child queen and bears little importance to the core worlds. I think this is also why we see their plasma refinery empty. They value art over industry and the core thinks that's dumb.
And if we saw a planet of Wookiees in RotJ, we would know immediately that they'd win the day. Ewoks make it more suspenseful and more understandable for the Empire to underestimate.

Before the Prequels existed, I wondered if Luke's feelings about Dagobah being familiar meant that he was born there, before Obi-Wan and Yoda sent him away to Tatooine. Now, I assume the canon reason is that Dagobah is very strong with The Force.

Now, I assume the canon reason is that Dagobah is very strong with The Force. As an adult, I've always read Luke's line as Jungian; an identification with the primordial unconscious. But even as a child, I never took it literally as the line's delivery feels like Luke is grappling with something far more enigmatic.

I always thought Dagobah seemed vaguely familiar to Luke like a dream because as Yoda says, "Many years have I been watching him." So Luke was subconsciously picking up on Yoda's Force voyeurism.
And though not the same thing, this would also lend credence to Leia having images and feelings of her mother. Now that the PT has been made, I think Leia having these impressions of Padme deep in her mind through the Force adds meaning to their connection.

Now, I assume the canon reason is that Dagobah is very strong with The Force. Yeah, I remember way back in the early-80s, it was either a popular theory, or maybe mentioned in a magazine interview, but the idea going around was Dagobah is very strong in the Force, (which Qui-Gon does state in TCW), which is why the Sith never sense Yoda there. There's so much Force noise coming from Dagobah they just ignore it.

I tell you what will be most pathetic of all: when the sad day comes that the Maker himself leaves us, and all these Lucas-bashers come grovelling back, pretending like they weren't part of the reason he gave up filmmaking.
Let's make sure we know their names, their history and are ready to call them out. Lucas-bashing may not be a contemporary thing any longer, but we don't forget so easily. Mark my words, when that day happens, there will be many frauds pretending to have been lifelong Lucas admirers.
I'm curious as to how the press will write of his time making the Prequels in obituaries and what have you. That will tell us quite a lot about where we strand.

Yeah, I am worried that when he goes the pitchforks might come out again. I hope I am wrong.

Well, I think it's more likely that writers will try to frame his time in charge, after making the OT, as a Lucasfilm that existed simply to be handed over to Disney. Or that the we'll see the re-emergence of the false narrative of the PT era, such that the idea that the films were widely panned by the critics.
