Welcome to Oyu'baat!
This cantina is intended as a casual gathering place for all of Naberrie Fields' members to enjoy informal chit-chat and each others' company as we anticipate and enjoy (or don't enjoy) each new episode of 'The Mandalorian'!
So, pull up a bar stool or settle into a booth, order some refreshing Jawa Juice and relax among your fellow galaxy-weary travelers...
Oyu'baat is open for business!
Per Cryogenic's suggestion: We recommend using Imgur for your image hosting purposes (reasoning here)! Feel free to spruce up the thread with any choice images and/or memes at your leisure!

I recently learned there won't be any breaks between this season's episode airings. That means 8-weeks-straight of Mando goodness which takes us all the way into late-December. "Strap yourselves in."

Anyone else dig the aspect ratio shift in the season premiere? That blew my mind and I was all like, "Of course they can do that!" Just like they don't have to conform to any consistent episode runtime. Ah, the beauty of original content on these streaming platforms...

I appreciate how the portrayal of Tusken Raiders in TM "humanized" them, as the article states. But I always assumed they were civilized and potentially cooperative. Rather than correcting what Lucas did, I find this portrayal heightens the tragedy of the Sand People's interactions with human society in the OT and PT. Especially in the PT.

That article reminds me of one guy who said that Padme was a classist for feeling devastated whe Obi Wan tells her Anakin killed the younglings but shed didn't care when Anakin told her that he Killed the Tuskens.
people sees to love to complain,so they start using falacies like those, And the best thing to do with those is ignore them, altought I know sometimes is impossible.
Anyway the Tusken being more or less civiliced and how others view them is not different from some real cultures.

We all have the option of not taking the bait and not give them clicks. Yes. jppiper -- please don't clutter up Somny's thread with constant Screen Rant links. This place is meant to be a positive, off-the-cuff social thread for people to express their enjoyment (or, I guess, their dissatisfaction) with "The Mandalorian" on an episode-by-episode basis. Presumably, wider discussion of the series as a whole and Star Wars lore is allowed, but I don't think spamming this thread with clickbait is really cricket. On the other hand, since you seem obsessed with that website, Joe... (And I mean this non-sarcastically!) I encourage you to start a new thread. Or two new threads, perhaps. One here, in the Disney section, and one in the George Lucas section (as needed). You can dedicate those threads to Screen Rant articles that don't fit elsewhere, and maybe people can rebut them from time-to-time. The more diversity, the better. People can easily see those links in a set location and read through them at their leisure. And that way, existing threads aren't being stifled with tangential links which have a negative, attention-grabbing tone.

I second what Cryogenic says, appropriately enough.
jppiper , although the Screen Rant articles you've posted are relevant to TM, a simple link drop is considered spamming and Oyu'baat doesn't serve spam. Please add more value to your posts with a thoughtful comment or question for our fellow cantina patrons. Let's keep this place fun, lively and participatory!

Somny Don't Know Honestly It's remarkably well-made and honors a fair amount of creative choices in the PT and TCW beyond adding many interesting, new ideas to the mix. I recommend you take a look! You have the Disney service. Hard part over.

I've been so caught up in watching coverage of the election that I didn't realize until a short moment ago that we're just over an hour away from a new episode of TM! Sweet!
Anyone else up at this hour to watch it?

Solid episode. Far less meat on the bones than the last one but an enjoyable ride nonetheless.

New episode tonight! They're really spoiling us with the lack of breaks in this season. I can't get over it! I didn't at all mind last week's episode but I can see how some may have found the focus on its McGuffin rather silly in relation to the season opener's far more serious tone, epic scope and classic western spirit.
