So I was browsing in Game Stop today and I saw on their TV a "ad" for the Black Series showcasing two figures from their "Gaming Greats" line: Jedi Knight Revan (in a white robe) and Heavy Battle Droid. The former comes from Galaxy of Heroes and the latter comes from Battlefront 2. They're 6-inch figures and of course very detailed. There's also going to be a Shadow Stormtrooper from The Force Unleashed. Hasbro is also releasing an FX replica of Revan's lightsaber, which changes from red to purple (for $224.00!). I'm excited to see some Legends characters getting the action figure treatment but it also makes me wonder if Disney's doing some "canon immigrating". I also wish they made them in 3 inch figures because that's what I prefer. Star Warriors put up a billboard and a hashtag (#GiveUsLegends) and we got a Jaina Solo (which I proudly own) and Darth Revan figure. But we also got Thrawn in Rebels, which for some fans felt like a cop-out. Any thoughts? Attachments:

I don't know what their long term plan is but to call those three examples "Gaming Greats" is reaching.
Star Wars happens to have iconic gaming characters: Kyle Katarn from the Jedi Knight series, Darth Revan from KotOR, Delta Squad from Republic Commando, Starkiller from The Force Unleashed, etc... A repainted Battle Droid or Stormtrooper seems like a waste in comparison. I'm no fan of the EU but the videogames offer a unique interactive experience with the Star Wars universe, so I'm familiar with the characters and respective games (and even like some of them).

Yeah a repainted Battle Droid/Stormtrooper does seem unimaginative, but I'm more excited about the Revan figure and lightsaber since Revan was a major Legends character. I'm hoping - and this is probably reaching on my part - that if fans buy Revan, Lucasfilm will take note and make figures of Kyle Katarn, Jan Ors, Satele Shan, Kreia, Starkiller , Darth Malgus and Nico Okarr to name a few.
