Hello everyone. Does anyone here have the blu-ray edition of The Phantom Menace, and can take screencaps? If so we could use your help. The image of Theed in the forum banner was found online, but it's cropped a bit on the left side. We need a capture of this shot in full, which will lead to a few improvements in the banner. We also need a shot of the Gungan sitting on the statue head with Anakin standing nearby. Thanks.

Thanks a lot, those look great!
Turns out the image in the banner isn't cropped. Now I'm starting to wonder. I don't have my desktop here, but I swear when I took a screencap of that night shot from my DVD for the intent of using it in the banner, I swear it was a bit wider, but I can't check. It didn't look as nice as the blu-ray though.

I'm wondering, is the shot of Theed a model?

I'm wondering, is the shot of Theed a model? Not you, as well! *waves hand* Cryo: Theed Palace is anything you want it to be. Subtext: Theed Palace is anything I want it to be. Okay, you said Theed, not necessarily the palace, because... Yes, yes, it is... By Theed, I'm assuming you mean the introductory exterior shot, as in Alex's second screencap. Or, I should say, it's at least partially a model. Partially palatially. Because the palace is more complicated. It's more the surrounding buildings, the street, and the frontage of the palace. All those parts were achieved with physical miniatures, or one great miniature. However, it seems the domes of Theed Palace were done digitally. Perhaps they were still deciding what the actual palace should look like until late? Although, in final form, it's not that far removed from Chiang's early paintings. So I dunno. Here's a short video with fifteen additional images underneath (a few film grabs, the rest are behind-the-scenes photos): www.behance.net/gallery/15120911/Miniatures-Star-Wars-Ep-1-2-ILMAnother image here: And a few more here: On the other hand, this fan rendering of the inside of Theed Palace isn't a physical model, but it sure looks nice: egosen.artstation.com/projects/eK5lb

Hi, anyone know if there are transcripts of the Blu-ray commentaries anywhere online? (I own copies of the Blu-rays but they're on the other side of the world right now). Edit: well hot dog, it turns out mikeximus happened to upload the very thing I was looking for; something where Lucas alludes to whether or not Palpatine wanted Kenobi to find Kamino. Not that every little detail was part of his plan, just the end result.

Hi, anyone know if there are transcripts of the Blu-ray commentaries anywhere online? No, but I'm actually trying to extract both tracks (original and archival) from each movie. I'll post them here whenever I manage to do it.

I think a large amount of it went exactly how he wanted.

I would totally be doing that with my abundance of free time now if I had access to the blu-rays. I've been able to record the DVD Commentaries for TPM and AOTC and convert them to a file that works on iTunes. I need to get another Blu Ray player for my PC to be able to record the Blu Archival Commentaries.

mikeximus , are those tracks you made accessible anywhere? I have them on my PC, but, haven't uploaded them to anywhere. I just listened to the AOTC commentary and it's corrupted. Something happened at it likes skips or something. Really weird. I will have to see if I can upload the TPM commentary to YouTube.
