I haven't seen it, and had completely forgotten about it. But recently something brought the trailer to my attention and the interesting thing I noticed was at the end, as they’re sitting in the theater waiting for the movie to start, one of them says, "Wait, guys, what if it sucks?" I get holding it for that moment for dramatic, narrative and comedic purposes, but in reality most people weren't sure what to expect for years.
This movie hits home for me because those guys are the age I was when TPM came out. And I know everyone I knew at the time was cautiously optimistic.

That's the punchline of the whole movie. This is why I don't usually watch trailers anymore. |

The director, Kyle Newman, like ourselves, was a prequelist long before the films started getting mainstream acceptance circa 2017. He was also a critic of TLJ who had to say silent about it on social media such was the crazed Lucasfilm campaign against the disenchanted.
He's a fine gentleman, always has some interesting things to say about Star Wars and the fandom.

Kyle occasionally drops in to appear in the RebelForce Radio podcast buts it’s been a while since I’ve listened to it.
I saw the Fanboys movie… many moons ago, and barely remember any of it. It was one of those raunchy comedy movies released in the 00’s that no longer gets made
