Now that Ahsoka is slated to continue the story of the Ghost crew, are there any other Rebels fans here? What did you think of the series? I personally was a fan of this series as it came out. I thought it was a fine start from Disney Star Wars. This may be an unpopular opinion, but I thought the animation style, or the character designs, were more pleasing to the eye than The Clone Wars'. I liked that the series was focused on a central cast of characters, and I especially liked Kanan, who was slightly like Qui-Gon, an unconventional Jedi. I think the series has been ignored by other canon material until now, so I'm happy to see those characters make a return.

The only thing I don't like about Rebels would be the Inquisitors. It makes the rule of 2 utterly pointless (of course the Sith already do that by their very nature). They should have given Vader a secret apprentice to help him track down the Ghost Crew, then the Sith can still maintain the illusion of the rule of 2 without having Vader lose to the Rebels every time he encounters them (which would be wrong for obvious reasons).

My problem with the Inquisitors was that they had such a big role in Rebels and Obi-Wan, and then they are nowhere to be seen in the OT. I think they don't much diminish the Rule of Two, though. The Clone Wars had Ventress and Savage, so even under Lucas there were more dark siders that weren't true Sith. The title of Darth is very important to being a Sith. Your idea that Vader should have had a secret apprentice would have been cool. There were a lot of rumors back in the day that Starkiller would appear in Rebels, which I would have liked. They should have adapted some of The Force Unleahed. They kind of did with Kanan going blind like Rahm Kota, but I would have liked some more.

They finally added Rebels season 3 and 4 to Disney+ here. I think I'll marathon the show and maybe review some episodes. I have serious nostalgia for this show and the early, pre-TFA Disney era. It was an exciting and promising time. I honestly think Rebels has stood the test of time by far the best out of Disney's attempts with the franchise. It captured well the feel of the OT.
