I'm starting with The Mandalorian, because it reminded me why I love Star Wars so much. Entering Episode 1 through a circular doorway:   Taming a creature to ride it:   Being dragged along by a rhinoceros-type creature:   Going into a dark, dangerous cave while Yoda/Grogu watches:   TFA had the line "This will begin to make things right" spoken by Lor San Tekka, which many took to mean as a slight at the prequels. Chapter 1 of The Mandalorian has "The Client" say "It is good to restore the natural order of things after a period of such disarray." I think this line is returning the favor. |

TRoS had a fair few mirroring moments from the entire saga. Help me, Cryogenic . You're my only hope.  Sith followers in an arena audience:     Palpatine addressing his followers:   A kiss in the arena before death:   I'm really late to the party, but Palpatine having the power of Darth Plagueis to cheat death is something I speculated about long before TRoS. I always thought he had the power, and would never give up his throne. I think the power to cheat death comes up in each trilogy finale. In RotS, Palpatine offers Anakin the chance to save Padmé by cheating death. In RotJ, Palpatine offers Luke the chance to save his friends. I think you can read it as simple blackmail, or as Palpatine offering the same death defying ability as to Anakin. In TRoS, Palpatine is alive thanks to this power, and offers it to Rey. |

Some lines of dialogue in the ST have resonance with lines from the PT:
TPM: Qui-Gon: "Don't center on your anxieties, Obi-Wan. Keep your concentration here and now, where it belongs."
TLJ: Yoda: "Skywalker, still looking to the horizon. Never here, now."
AotC: Anakin: "I saw my mother. She is suffering, Padmé. I saw her as clearly as I see you now."
TLJ: Rey: "Just now when we touched hands, I saw his future. As solid as I'm seeing you."
RotS: Palpatine: "Know the power of the dark side. Power to save Padmé."
TRoS: Palpatine: "Only you have the power to save them."
