The movie explained it fine. People just repeat what they hear.

The fact taht the wriiter of this tweet can tell what she saw from the movie alone should be crystal clear that the The movies explained it fine, I think some people don't take prequel fans seriouslly.
I discovered that some people hate the Yoda line form Attack of the clones "around the survivors a perimeter create", that proves that some people is jsut pasionate about hatinf the prequels and ill never change.

Emphasis mine. I've always been fond of this particular distinction which GL can be witnessed making when discussing the physical dynamics of Yoda's robe in a visual effects review session during the making of AOTC (from From Puppets to Pixels: Digital Characters in Episode II). It's extremely revealing in the most affirming way.

It's extremely revealing in the most affirming way. THAT'S really interesting. I need to rewatch those featurettes. I remember something about GL discussing how the digital process is like painting a shot, instead of photographing it. A painting might approximate reality, but even a great Renaissance painting with accurate lighting and perspective has an artifice to it, a beautiful artifice.

Screen time quantity does not equal quality. There is nothing wrong with being a plot device, either. You could say she is the greatest plot device of all time.

Yeah, I have seen that sentiment floating around on the internet. I mean, it is understandable because he committed genocide against children, for crying out loud. It is understandable some people can't forgive that. Furthermore, this is where some Christianity is entering the storyline. By undergoing a metanoia of sorts, by renouncing his error, a Final Judgement or forgiveness is granted to Anakin. This is what causes a lot of people to reject Christianity because some things are unforgivable. A change of heart isn't enough, people want the person to suffer some serious punishment (arguably Anakin was punished severely on Mustafar and being enslaved until his son saves him). So I think that is where that opinion is coming from.

I'm actually enjoying this because it inadvertently points out why I love this character. eg. "He was thought to be a great man and a respectful jedi like Obi-Wan Kenobi mentioned to Luke in A New Hope. However, Anakin is revealed to be secretly a whiny self-centered brat in the prequels" It is pretty cool how you can be whiny, self-centered, and a great man at the same time! Humans are SO WEIRD!!!! "the dialogue is bizarre" YES, give me more bizarre dialogue like "I don't like sand." Common sense has prevailed it was Deleted!

smittysgelato Sorry to tag you again but Some dumbass on youtube said this. I love that George wants to retro that he had 1-6 all planned out. BS. He had some rough ideas but not all the detail he spits out now. there were big gaps in story logic from 4 and 5. Then 6 was just the same dang plot as 4 and 5 with blowing up another death star. 1 was a hot mess and 2 and 3 were OK. His dialogue was sh*te. His best movies were ones with someone else editing his story ideas. I do not believe he had any sense of who Vader was going to be coming out of A New Hope. He is bad as JK Ro with this retro BS.

What George has said over the years would make for a fascinating research project. At times, when he describes his plans for the Saga, I get the impression that one must take the specific context into consideration. If he says the story was always about Anakin and his son, he may be referring to the fact a father-son story was present in the earlier drafts, even if they weren't named Anakin and Luke at the time. So, from a certain point of view, it was always about Anakin and Luke. One must be generous because George may not be super precise in his explanations, so it can sound like he is bullshitting, but maybe not.
But, hey, why seek to understand when you can just seek to dunk on the man instead?

I have no idea what Screamin' Lord Brian is even referring to. As for the preceding tweet, I kinda doubt that George would agree that Star Wars has a Dave Filoni problem. So, it would be kinda funny to hear George's honest opinions about all these people who claim to defend his vision. xD

I love The Simpsons, is one of my favourite shows and will always be despite not being good in a far long time (althought they occasionally release some good experimental episodes) ,wich makes me conflicted when they do things like this, even a Simpsons fan like me can't stand this segment of that episode, they clearly just jumped in the prequel hate bandwagon, and is not the only instance , like Lenny and Carl saying" I say the Phantom Menace sucked more, I say Attack of the clones sucked more" and" due to a rift in the space-time continuum, episodes I, II and III never happened" , Ironically they had no problem spoofing Duel of the Fates and most recently Battle of the Heroes or putting a Padme parody as a influential woman for Lisa's daughter in the future. Proof that they just followed the trend is the fact that they mock the sequels too, there is a segment of Bart and Milhouse running away from Solo merchandise, and Maggie telling Marge seh doesn't like new Star Wars movies. I will give them that they also mock entitled Star Wars fans with Comic Book guy saying that he doesn't like any Star Wars films besides the first one and he secretly loving Jar Jar. And in this case they clearly had no idea claiming the franchise lost its way when is just fan perception based on how THEY see the franchise subjetivelly or that the film is just "boring politics" , even they make fun of the original trilogy saying is just " Stories based on movies of cowboys and samurais" And yes, is true that Better technology doesn't automatically mean better story telling, but first it helps it because there is far less limitations, and second they are talking like The prequel trilogy is all effects and no storytelling, people can both complain of prequels being a laser and explosions fest or just sitting and talking. And doesn't people say CGI makes it less realistic? And for finnish, and it hurts because I love The Simpsons as I said, is ironic that precisely The Simpsons is the one telling anothe franchise it lose it's way.
