Welcome, and thank you for your interest.
This forum is a refuge established by and for genuine fans of the entire Star Wars saga (I-VI) created by George Lucas for the free, undisturbed immersion into deep discussions.
With that said, critiques, comments and questions of the films are of course allowed, but an authentic pursuit in constructive dialogue is requested.
Free speech is honored here. Just please no hate, threats or attacks on people, or veiled & unveiled chip-on-the-shoulder trolling or conversation derailing.
That's it. Pretty simple.
Thanks, Enjoy!

Hello all. You may have noticed there are now two boards for the Star Wars Saga forum, one for the Lucas era and one for the Disney era.
Why is that? As you're probably aware, this forum was created as a safe haven for Prequel fans to engage in dialogues about the six Star Wars films of George Lucas in peace and freedom. And while diverse views are welcome here, there are still a number of members here who wish to keep the Lucas era threads free from contemporary recontextualization.
What does it mean? It only means that if anyone chooses to discuss productions, current events etc. made after the sale in 2012, to do so in the designated Disney Era board. And note, if someone forgets this and posts something Disney-related in the Lucas Era board, thier Disney era post will be moved to a thread in the Disney board.
Thank you.

After several months of consideration, in the spirit of fostering discussion it is now required that when posting a video, article, outside link, copy/pasted content etc. that you also include at least three or four sentences of your own substantive content along with it. You can talk about such things as; what you agree or disagree with, what you would add or change, your own thoughts on the subject, etc. Just dumping links is bordering on spam and can get tedious and overdone, and does not help discussion. It's also important to remember links are like free advertising, and in the case of anti-PT links, you need to make them earn that . This forum was not set up to be a free billboard or news aggregate for anti-PT pieces. If somebody just posts a link with no personal commentary or critique, they will be asked to add one. Members are always able to edit their posts. If they do not add anything to the link, it will be moved to a designated thread for links titled "general grievances". Importing (copy/pasting) anti-PT content without a rebuttal by the person posting is not allowed in any thread. As the first post states, this forum is a refuge for fans of George Lucas and his films; its a place to foster original content and get away from the toxic griping. Keeping the random negativity dumping to a bearable minimum should be a goal. Also note: the discussion over the creation of two different SW forums based on era has been moved to a thread in the Gungan Rep Council forum called Forum Purpose and Guidelines Roundtable. Feel free to continue discussing things here too, if you so choose. But know it will eventually be relocated to the Roundtable thread.

Heyo everyone, as you may have noticed, another new sub-board has been added to The Meadows board: Outlander Club.
As this forum expands and evolves we occasionally do a little remodeling to accommodate the growth. The purpose of the Outlander Club board is to create a place to post a wide range of topics coming from the Star Wars fandom and media worlds, such as: Blogs and podcasts Fan-made videos and films Collectibles and other merch Video games Random articles and news items Obituaries and memorials Fan art Fan fiction Humor and memes Chat and personal musings There's even a catch-all thread for one-off random tidbits, featuring things like interesting SW-related trivia/factoids and other miscellaneous findings that don't necessarily warrant their own thread.
Another distinction between Outlander Club and the other two threads in The Meadows is the latter are more in-universe discussions while Outlander Club is more out-of-universe.
Now and again some threads will be created which could possibly go either way. In that event I'll inform the OP if we feel it belongs more in another board and he/she can then state their case as to where they think it works best.
Thank you!
Also note: as stated, the responses to the previous post have now been moved to the Forum Purpose and Guidelines Roundtable thread. And the posts in that thread about the Mandalorian social thread have been moved to Forum Feedback.

Heyo everyone, welcome to The Outer Limits, or as we like to call it: the Outlander Club. The purpose of the Outlander Club board is to have a place to post a wide range of topics coming from the Star Wars fandom and media worlds, such as: Blogs and podcasts Fan-made videos and films Collectibles and other merch Video games Random articles and news items Obituaries and memorials Fan art Fan fiction Humor and memes Chat and personal musings There's even a catch-all thread for one-off random tidbits, featuring things like interesting SW-related trivia/factoids and other miscellaneous findings that don't necessarily warrant their own thread. Thank you! Wonderful announcement! You could copy this text across to the Outlander Club and create a new thread out of it, then sticky that thread to the top of the page. I've cleaned up the spacing and also changed your opening lines of text to better fit the new location. Hope that doesn't seem underhanded. Obviously, you could revise your text further. But I do think having some sort of similar explanation to the above, stuck to the top of the new board, might be a good idea.
