Honestly, I don't count them as Star Wars either... although Rogue 1 is the only one I may still watch again at some point.

I admit I've never watched Ewok movies... am I missing a lot? I just watched Caravan of Courage in full a week ago. They’re not masterpieces, but I tend to enjoy things marketed towards kids. Not a lot of slapstick humor in it, but I found CoC to be genuinely charming. Side note- I have to replace ANH with TESB. As much as I love ANH, I have to single out TESB for its use of Vader as the antagonist. We see him as a villain in his own right, with his own agenda for the first time, and possibly the last depending on how you interpret his motives in ROTJ. That said, the emotional core of ROTJ’s story and its ending still keep it on top for me.

Don't care about the rest but ROTS should be first

1) Revenge of the Sith - I see this movie as emblematic of everything the Star Wars saga is.
2) Attack of the Clones - No deep reason here other it was my favorite movie as a kid (my parents were very strict about PG-13 movies so ROTS took a backseat)
3) Return of the Jedi - All of the themes introduced in prior films come full circle. It remains the most satisfying concluding chapter of a story I have ever experienced.
And can I give an honorable mention to TPM? I always refer to that film as “Lucas Unfiltered” and I love every second of it. Honestly would have loved a whole trilogy set in the time period from George.

Driver was very snobbish towards the prequels. I've seen an informal/mobile phone video where, in response to a question or comment about them, he laughs in a dismissive manner and essentially saids "Oh God, we're not going making those this time".
He might be a fine actor, and indeed appears to be following in the footsteps of Harrison Ford of the OT and Natalie Portman of the PT as the megastar from his generation of Star Wars, but he's not the gentleman that Christensen is. Christensen has gone as far as complimenting what he did with Kylo Ren, there's no pettiness or spite that ever comes from him.
Hopefully the critical and fan response to the ST, especially TROS, has humbled him.

He just doesn't like seeing his grandfather as a stinky kid.

This is a nitpick admittedly, but you think Nat is a bigger name than Ewan?

Among female actors, she's at a much higher level of starpower than McGregor is among male actors. I'm not suggesting I agree with that, it's just the way I interpret the industry. I would, however, say McGregor's status has grown in recent years with the Emmy award he got for Fargo, and now with a highly publicised return to Star Wars. I think with the sad passing of Fisher and the PT generation's voices becoming noticeably louder and more influential each year, McGregor is arguably the most revered actor of Star Wars now. He's massive, he gets a reception at Celebration the likes of which only the OT trio have also enjoyed. That said, in Hollywood as a whole, he's nowhere near the level of starpower as say DiCaprio, Bale, McConaughey, Cruise, and so on. He's a leading man for sure, the pride of Scotland, but it's a super competitive career to be in, and he's done extremely well to get to where he is. You only need contrast his career with Christensen, which was very disappointing in the 2010s.
I am, however, no expert. There does exists something like "starpower meters" for actors, like on IMDB, which might be more accurate for ranking.

1. The Phantom Menace 2. Return of the Jedi 3. Revenge of the Sith
As I get older, I notice my tastes regressing, or perhaps evolving, to match those I had as a youngster. Kids are more honest, especially to themselves, so you have that purity of an unadulterated opinion that isn't influenced by outside forces. When I was younger, I loved the beginning and the end, because they represented unlimited imaginative potential. You didn't know what came before or after, so you could fill in those blanks. TPM and RotJ set off my imagination that way. And I also liked the motif of nature and greenery in both of the films. Naboo and Endor were among my favorite locations. TPM especially had a different sort of vibe compared to AotC and RotS that set it apart, and the fact that it took place a decade earlier made it feel like a different, more noble era.
