I love the commentary track. I was just listening to it again a couple weeks ago and I love this part.

I love the commentary track. I was just listening to it again a couple weeks ago and I love this part. It's the key to understanding the rest of his movies. Walter Murch is a treasure to hear too, and there are hours of him talking on youtube, thankfully.

This September will be the 20th anniversary of the director's cut. Also, interesting curiosity:
Obviously it wasn't free for George, but it does give us an idea of the time and money he was willing to spend restoring his movie. And this was just ILM, not counting the added SFX and Lowry's restoration work.

Digital. Why?
As in a paid digital download?
As for why, I'm just curious, I'm all into physical media, I was the one who set up a thread on the issue. I have a DVD/Blu-Ray collection of my own and I've been going through titles I want to buy recently.

Guys seriously it's embarassing. I watched this movie when I was 11, and I'm still finding new ways to understand it. Why is it so impossible to get even the most shameless Lucas-worshippers of the Star Wars fanbase to just watch this movie ONCE?

The fact it is rated 6.6/10 on IMDB reminds me why I can't take that site seriously.

I don't know.
Maybe they don't want to buy more? Buy more now. Buy. And be happy.
No thankfulness for commerce!

Why is it so impossible to get even the most shameless Lucas-worshippers of the Star Wars fanbase to just watch this movie ONCE? We all have our blindspots. I've never come across it being aired on television, while I've not seen it at a video shop either. Like it or not, it's relatively obscure-niche title.
Cryo still has yet to see TCW, and I've been bugging him about it for over 4 years now.
I shall part my money with Jeff Bezoz and I'll have a copy soon. Not to worry.

I guess you can't show this movie on TV anymore, at least not mainstream TV. The average audience wouldn't get a thing. You'd have to pick it up on an art artsy channel, by accident.

There's nothing wrong with paying an artist like Lucas a fee in exchange for one of his works. The problem in society is not the buying, it's the rentification of products that we've long bought and then owned. So it's "you'll own nothing and be happy", a trojan horse that's spread as wide as Adobe computer programs to under the seemingly-innocent guise of electric vehicles. As it becomes more obvious to the normies that streaming is little more than Cable 2.0, and that you don't own anything, we should see greater awareness of this malpractice.

Well I don't think it's a movie for 11 years olds exactly. It does have suggestive material and is kind of slow until the final act
